Quaternary Avian Remains from Dark Canyon Cave, New Mexico

Remains of bird species were found in Dark Canyon Cave. These species are listed, described and quantified. Twenty three percent of the species found are now extinct. Thicknee (Burhinus) was among the species found, and is the first record of this genus in the United States.
