THIS IS THE PUBLIC VERSION OF AN INTERNAL DOCUMENT. A survey of the New York side of the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational Area (UDSRA) was conducted to determine the presence of Federal and State endangered, threatened, vulnerable, and rare plant species. The New York Natural Heritage Program's (NYNHP) Rare Plant Status List (Clemants 1986) and the Federal Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants List (USFWS) were used as the basis for this study which included herbarium searches and field surveys. Historical records for nine state rare plant species were discovered for the survey area, two of these were found during the 1985-1986 field sessions. An additional two, new, rare plant species were also discovered during field surveys. No federally listed or federal candidate plant species has any past or present record from the study area. During the course of the investigation, eleven natural communities were described from the study area
