This report discusses the status of rare plants at Canaveral National Seashore. Information about rare taxa which are of historical occurrence, at the edge of their range, rare in central Florida, or rare throughout their range are included in this study. For this study, an effort was made to visit all habitat types in which rare plants might occur, including Playalinda Beach, Castle Windy, Eldora and Turtle Mound. Thirty-eight rare taxa or taxa of special concern are discussed individually, describing appearance, habitat and location at Canaveral. Checklists of rare taxa by location are included.
