A recent deposit of Myotis lucifugus in Mammoth Cave

Many bones, including several hundred skulls of the bat Myotis lucifugus were found trapped behind low travertine dams extending from the sidewalls in Mammoth Cave, Mammoth Cave National Park. The bats were presumably drowned while hibernating in a dome-pit. Measurements were taken and are reported in comparison with skulls of Myotis sodalis in figures included in this 'general note.'
