This study analyzed the effects of tree thinning, soil amendments, mulching, climatic variations, and seed additions on revegation of native grasses in a disturbed pinon-juniper woodland at Bandelier National Monument, NM. A nested experimental design was constructed from a spatial and temporal hierarchy strategy. Effects of the El Nino climatic phenomenom upon the experimental design is discussed.
