These data are an ArcView point shapefile of mountain lion sign (i.e., tracks, scrapes, scats, and kills) located by staff and volunteers as part of an ongoing monitoring program at Carlsbad Caverns National Park. The data were collected with GPS receivers during October 1998 to May 2001 and depicts the location and selected characteristics of found sign. The monitoring program for which these data were collected was conducted during October 1987 to May 2001. This dataset represents a subpart of the total data collected during the timeperiod of the study.
