A Record of the Red-Bellied Snake from Texas

Two specimens were collected on Pine Island Bayou, off Highway 105 in December, 1948; also in Orange County west of Vidor and Herberts' Woods near Beaumont in 1961. This is an elusive snake in Texas herpetology. The specimens are described.
