This document is one of six recovery plans designed to help in the management and recovery of Pacific Ocean marine turtle populations. The survey's broad scope includes American Samoa, as well as Hawaii, Guam, the Republic of Palau, the Northern Mariana Islands, Marshall Islands, and other unincorporated islands. It outlines biological characteristics and threats facing the hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), both in its nesting and marine environment. Conservation accomplishments are outlined, and recovery objectives are established (includes detailed implementation schedule).
