A Topographic Site Plan for Fort McHenry NM & HS was scanned and georeferenced in ERDAS Imagine. A total RMS error of 0.4675 feet was obtained. The image was then reprojected to Maryland Stateplane, NAD83, feet. The topographic lines on the image were traced in ArcView 3.2 and assigned an elevation based on the information on the topographic site plan. The shapefile was then converted to an ArcInfo 8.1 coverage, line topology was created and State Plane coordinate system for Maryland was defined. The coverage was then converted to a shapefile.
