A study concerned with the reintroduction of the Perdido Key beach mouse (Peromyscus polionotus trissyllepsis) to the Gulf Islands National Seashore (GUIS) in Florida and Mississippi. The methods of reintroduction involved transferring mice from the Gulf State Park, Alabama to selected locations on Perdido Key in GUIS. The vegetation of the release site is described. The results concerning release site evaluation, population surveys, and translocations are discussed and presented in tabular form. A map shows the location of release sites.
