Park Boundary created by Dean Tucker
Ketel W. 1999. Park Boundary created by Dean Tucker. Planning
Park Boundary created by Dean Tucker: Here is the original documentation: NYBIGHT.ZIP contains ATLAS*GIS and Arc/Info (*.E00 file) coverages of the following park boundaries georeferenced to UTM Zone 18: 1. Gateway NRA (GATE) 2. Fire Island NS (FIRE) 3. Sagamore Hill NHS (SAHI) 4. Weir Farm NHP (WEFA) 5. Statue of Liberty NM (STLI) 6. Saint Paul's Church NHS (SAPA) 7. Edison NHS (EDIS) 8. Morristown NHP (MORR) The coverages do not contain boundaries for the unit referred to as "Manhattan Sites" - although I think Saint Paul's Church NHS is one of the "Manhattan Sites". The other ones (like Castle Clinton, Federal Hall, General Grant, Hamilton Grange, Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace, Roosevelt Inaugural, etc.), I don't have boundaries for since they are so small. Check the WordPerfect 5.1 file named NYBIGHT.DOC for a description of the source and scale of each of the 8 park boundaries given above. If you have any questions or boundary improvements, feel free to give me a call (970-225-3516) or drop me an e-mail (Dean_Tucker@NPS.GOV). The complete versions of these datasets (all NPS units systemwide) should soon be available at http://www.cgc.ncsu.edu/npsgis/index.html. Good Luck, Dean Tucker
