Price M. 2000. combined. Maribeth H. Price, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology

This dataset shows the modeled affinity or avoidance of Canada thistle (Cirsium arvense) locations within the Burns Basin area of Badlands National Park. The model indentified significant correlations between known thistle occurrences and environmental parameters, including soils, geology, vegetation communities, and satellite-derived vegetation indices NDVI). Two approaches to identifying correlations were combined to make this map, a logistic multiple linear regression, and a statistical frequency analysis.
