The source of this imagery was 1941 aerial photography contracted by the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. The UW-Madison Environmental Remote Sensing Center (ERSC) scanned the photos, ortho-rectified them, and compiled them into one digital orthophoto showing Wilson's Creek National Battlefield and the surrounding area. The image projection is UTM Zone 15 / NAD 83. This was a cooperative effort between ERSC and the National Park Service Midwest Support Office GIS Technical Support Center in Madison, WI, for the NPS Prairie Cluster long term ecological monitoring project.
