This is a grid depicting the extent of overall suitable habitat for Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep in the south Snake Range, Nevada. Grid was derived from running the model developed by Smith et al. 1991. Grid cells with values represent areas with slopes between 27 and 85 degrees (escape terrain) or slopes less than 27 degrees if within 300 meters of escape terrain, vegetation types classified as open, 100 meters beyond roads and trails, within 3.2 kilometers of perennial water located in open vegetation and beyond 300 meters of high use private lands.
