This is a grid map depicting the extent of summer habitat for Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep in the south Snake Range, Nevada. Grid was derived from running the model developed by Smith et al. 1991. 30 meter Grid cells with values represent areas with slopes less than 27 degrees if within 300 meters of escape terrain (slopes between 27 and 85 degrees), vegetation types classified as open, 100 meters beyond roads and trails, within 3.2 kilometers of perennial water located in open vegetation and beyond 300 meters of high human use areas or private lands.
