This is a grid map depicting the extent of winter habitat for Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep in the south Snake Range, Nevada. Grid was derived from running the model developed by Smith et al. 1991. 30 meter Grid cells with values represent areas with slopes less than 27 degrees if within 300 meters of escape terrain (slopes between 27 and 85 degrees), vegetation types classified as open, areas below 2,895 meters elevation, areas with southerly aspects and beyond 300 meters of high human use areas or private lands.
