In June 1959, the writer, assisted by Criag Nelson and other members of a University of Kansas field expedition, collected series of Pseudemys scripta gaigaea at the following localities: rio Grande, Lajitas, Brewster County, Texas (six specimens); Rio Conchos, 1 mi. NW Ojinaga, Chifuahua (nine specimens); and, junction of Rio San Pedro and Rio Conchos, 3 mi. N and 5 mi. E Meoqui, Chihuahua (20 specimens).
