The authors examine the use of remote sensing instruments and aerial photographic techniques for studying the hydrobiology in South Florida, including the Florida Everglades. The purpose of the authors preliminary study was to interpret airborne data to determine the relations between water conditions and biological populations within Everglades National Park and to develop new applications in natural resources research for data from remote sensing. Specifically, the authors discuss the use of panchromatic aerial photography and infrared color photography. The report includes models developed from these techniques.
