Fire Roads in Golden Gate National Recreation Area. These roads are used during wildland fire management operations such as fuel reduction projects, prescribed burns, suppression activities, etc. Most of these roads are normally closed to vehicular traffic except National Park Service vehicles, but may allow foot, horse, and/or bicycle use. Fire roads were designated by GGNRA Fire Management Office and status may change pending park approval.
