Lindstrom P. 2005. Historic map of the state of Wyoming (georeferenced), 1883. GIS Office, Science and Resource Management, Grand Teton National Park, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior
This is a TIF image of a historic map of Wyoming published by G.L. Holt in 1883. The original map (about 24" W x 20" H) was borrowed from the Jackson Hole Historical Society and scanned at 400 dpi by Bonneville Blueprint in Idaho Falls, ID. Photoshop was used to convert this image to grayscale, and then it was georectified using ArcMap's georeferencing toolbar with an RMS of 0.01841 degrees, or about 2050 meters. Locations line up well with existing data in the Greater Yellowstone Area.
