This report evaluates the potential for rock falls from the lava rocks forming the cliffs and pinnacles of Diamond Peak. These rock formations are of medium strength and of low resistance against erosion. Four blocks are identified on Diamond Peak that are the most unstable. Even the most unstable block presents a low hazard to park visitors. Monitoring systems for predicting rock fall are discussed and a sketch of Diamond Peak is included.
