Manassas National Battlefield Park Fuel Model Polygons - February 2005

Gorsira B. 2005. Manassas National Battlefield Park Fuel Model Polygons - February 2005. Raeburn Environmental Services and the National Park Service

This polygon dataset depicts Fuel Models for Estimating Fire Behavior in Manassas National Battlefield Park. This layer was generated by "crosswalking" the park's Forested Ecological Communities layer and an older park vegetation layer. In addition, changes in the fuel model polygons were also made based on other existing GIS layers. These include the exotic plant treatment areas layer, roads layer, streams layer, and the 2000 VARGIS and 2002 Virginia Base Mapping Program (VBMP) Orthophotography. The Fuels map was ground truthed by Douglas Raeburn, of Raeburn Environmental Services (Luray, Virginia). This map reflects ground conditions on February 9-11, 2005.
