The fire history polygon dataset represent the extents of fires at Manassas National Battlefield from 1992 through the 2003 fire season. Fire perimeters were created from the best available data source. All types of fires; suppression, prescribed, and Wildland fire use fires are included in the dataset. This data are maintained at the park level to track the area affected by fire. The data set includes all fire that have been documented that fall entirely or partially within the park's administrative boundaries regardless of land ownership, agency responsible for the fire, or type of fire (natural, prescribed, arson).
