Incidental Bird Observations YUCH

Wilder D. Incidental Bird Observations YUCH. Skip Ambrose

While cleaning out her office, Debbie Nigro discovered a 3.5" floppy disk containing bird observations by Skip Ambrose (NPS YUCH) who works on peregrines. He has recorded observations of all birds detected in the course of his work and the Excel file contained on the disk has observations from 1997 - 1999. Debbie says that Skip is a great birder so these data are probably pretty good. The table contains species names, dates, and numbers. Presumably, the numbers are the number of individuals of a given species observed on a given date. Presumably, an "observation" is via either sight or hearing. There is no additional location information other than "Yukon Charley". Skip is still recording his observations of all birds detected while doing his program monitoring of peregrines. These are simply incidental observations and no methodology has been applied. The file is in K:\Inventory_Monitoring_Program\General_ProjectsAndData\Biological\Birds_YUCH\Data\Tables\yuko birds 97-99.xls. (The "K" drive is "everyone on inpyuga3" which is file server 165.83.59.10).
