This dataset contains past and present dune crossings that lead from the Over Sand Vehicle (OSV) Zone beach to the back trail and forested areas in the Maryland portion of Assateague Island National Seashore. These dune crossing locations can change from year to year, as a result of both geomorphologic and anthropogenic events. This data not only shows current locations of dune crossings, but also portrays where these crossings were located in prior conditions.
