Existing data of unknown origin showing the San Juan Acequia was edited for accuracy by students of San Antonio College and Park Biologist Greg Mitchell. These persons used a Trimble GeoExplorer GPS in the field and 2003 aerial photography to correctly locate the acequia in the current projection and datum.
