Nevada/Arizona state boundary, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, 2006

National Park Service, Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Nevada/Arizona state boundary, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, 2006. National Park Service, Lake Mead National Recreation Area

ESRI feature class representing the Nevada/Arizona state boundary, through Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Boundary was created from the Clark County Centerline coverage, obtained from the Clark County GIS Management Office. The section through the Colorado River north of Davis Dam was edited to primarily match the trace of the river represented on the preimpoundment maps, although a few areas were edited to more closely match the NHD Hydrography. South of Davis Dam, the boundary was edited to match the legal description, Nevada Revised Statutes, chapter 234.140. The eastern state boundary line was edited to match the Public Land Survey System (PLSS) section lines obtained as Geographic Coordinate Data Base (GCDB) data published by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM, Denver, Colorado, 20041029), from the Colorado River, to the NE corner of T18S R71E. The Arizona state boundary line was replaced with state boundary data obtained from the Bureau of Reclamation, north of the NE corner of T18S R71E.
