A Report on a followup bat survey of the Mariscal (Viviana) Mercury Mine Complex, Big Bend National Park, TX

Altenbach JS. 1998. A Report on a followup bat survey of the Mariscal (Viviana) Mercury Mine Complex, Big Bend National Park, TX

A survey of the bats of the Mariscal (Viviana) Mercury Mine Complex in Big Bend National Park, Texas, indicates that the number of torpid Corynorhinus townsendii was comparable to that observed in the 1994 survey. It is apparent that a large population of these bats uses the mine complex for the warm season (probably maternity) activity
