The various features described by this metadata was produced by the USGS in Digital Line Graph (DLG) format. These transportation data for 38 individual 1:24,000-scale quadrangles (see place keyword list for names of individual quads used) was obtained on CDROM in July, 1999, by the National Park Service Intermountain Region GIS Support Office. The DLGs were converted to ARC coverages using USGS dlg2arc and dlg_translate programs and then merged together.
