Eight known paleontological sites in the Lake Meredith National Recreation Area and Alibates National Monument are currently under current legal and policy requirements. Only a very small area of the parks have been surveyed for paleoontological resources. Known paleontological resouce sites are contained herein. Assessment of impacts is based on best professional judgement and was developed through consultation with NPS staff and review of the information available about the parks' resources
