This is a vector polygon file showing the Beach and Nearshore waters at Padre Island National Seashore. File created by digitizing on-screen using DOQQ's as a base map in Arcview 3.3. The file was used in the development of the park's oil and gas management plan, which described sensitive resource areas of the park. This file is for the beach and nearshore waters. The file includes the area that extends from the western edge of the foredune ridge to the eastern extent of the park's boundary and from the northern boundary to the southern park boundary. The area included in this file includes the beach and all nearshore waters within the park.
