Echols DL and Echols D. 2003. Port Mansfield Area at Padre Island National Seashore. National Park Service - Padre Island National Seashore
This is a vector polygon file showing the Port Mansfield Area at Padre Island National Seashore. File created by digitizing on-screen using DOQQ's as a base map in Arcview 3.3. The file was used in the development of the park's oil and gas management plan, which described sensitive resource areas of the park. This file is for the Port Mansfield area, which is a visitor use area of the park. The file includes a 750 foot buffer around the jetties at Port Mansfield, which was determined using the create buffer option in Arcview. The buffer was calculated from a point taken at the base of jetties on the beach.
