Historic Ranching Sites at Padre Island National Seashore
Echols DL and Echols D. 2003. Historic Ranching Sites at Padre Island National Seashore. National Park Service - Padre Island National Seashore
This is a vector polygon file showing the Historic Ranching Sites at Padre Island National Seashore. File created by digitizing on-screen using DOQQ's as a base map in Arcview 3.3. The file was used in the development of the park's oil and gas management plan, which described sensitive resource areas of the park. This file is for the historic ranching sites within the park. The file includes a 1500 foot buffer around the Novillo Line Camp, and 500 foot buffers around the Blackhill Line Camp and Greenhill Line Camp, which were determined using the create buffer option in Arcview. The buffer was calculated from a point file that included a center point for each of the three line camps.
