This dataset shows the coastline of Assateague Island, as well as the complex boundaries that exist in this region and the agencies that own them. This information includes accurate state boundaries and jurisdictional limits of the various land management agencies. The coastlines were digitized from 2003 aerial photography of Assateague Island National Seashore and GPS coordinates of ocean and inlet shorelines in 2005.
