This dataset contains ignition points for fires in Bandelier National Monument for the years 1983 to 2003, and fire types 11-14 (suppressions), 21 (natural outs), and 48/49 (prescribed fires). This validation process included correcting the spatial location of fire ignition points, and points with validated locations are noted in the attribute field 'UTM_UPLOAD'. The tabular data used to create this shapefile was downloaded from the SACS (Shared Application Computer System) database on February 25, 2004.
