This FARSITE (Fire Area Simulator) landscape file is a model for spatially and temporally simulating the spread and behavior of fires for Buffalo National River. The landscape file contains eight data layers, including: fuel model, canopy cover, tree height, canopy base height, canopy bulk density, elevation, slope, and aspect. The data was developed by the FPA data assembly team from fuels and elevation data with extensive input/guidance from fire behavior experts.
