This dataset contains ignition points for fires in Point Reyes National Seashore for the years 1983 to 2002, and fire types 11-14 (suppressions), 15/16 (mutual aids), 21 (natural outs), and 48/49 (prescribed fires). This validation process included correcting the spatial location of fire ignition points, and all points in this shapefile have been validated. The tabular data used to create this shapefile was downloaded from the SACS (Shared Application Computer System) database on March 11, 2004.
