This dataset contains ignition points for fires in Zion National Park for all years in recorded history (1966-2003) and for fire types 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 21, 48, and 49. The data contained in this shapefile was validated by the FPA (Fire Program Analysis) data assembly team for years 1966-2003, and for fire types 11-14 (suppressions), 15/16 (mutual aids), 21 (natural outs), and 48/49 (prescribed fires). This validation process included correcting the spatial location of fire ignition points.
