This is a simple polygon that describes the park boundary, from 1,000 feet from mean high water south into the Atlantic Ocean to approximately 4,000 feet north into the Great South Bay, wrapping around a few of the bay islands. This boundary version includes the area added at the west end of Fire Island, obtained land from Robert Moses State Park.
