This FARSITE (Fire Area Simulator) landscape file is a model for spatially and temporally simulating the spread and behavior of fires for Rocky Mountain National Park. The landscape file contains eight data layers, including: fuel model, canopy cover, tree height, canopy base height, canopy bulk density, elevation, slope, and aspect. The data was developed by the Intermountain Regional Office fuels/fire behavior technical specialist from fuels and elevation data with extensive input/guidance from fire behavior experts. For additional information not contained in this metadata, please refer to the plain text read-me file that accompanies this data. NOTE: When using this landscape for FARSITE projections, DO NOT Link Crown Density and Cover, leave it unchecked!
