A study concerned with the residual hydrocarbons in the sands of Horn Island in the Gulf Islands National Seashore, Florida and Mississippi after the cleanup of an oil spill. Sediment samples were collected from sample stations arranged in a grid and analyzed for hydrocarbons. The results are discussed and presented in tabular form. Maps show the locations of the contaminated area and the sample stations.
