Acadia National Park Fire Fuel Models for Complacent Fuels (acad_cofuel)
Dieffenbach F. 2005. Acadia National Park Fire Fuel Models for Complacent Fuels (acad_cofuel). North Carolina State University, Center for Earth Observation
This is a raster dataset in which cell values represent fire fuel models, developed by the National Fire Fuel Laboratory (NFFL), based on the corresponding vegetation classes and on estimated amounts of complacent fuel. Estimates of complacent fuel were based on field-collected fire fuel load data and a crosswalk of formation-level vegetation class to NFFL fuel model. (Complacent fuels are measured before seasonal vegetative drying and curing have occurred, whereas available live fuels are measured in the fall after substantial vegetative drying and curing have occurred.)
