This file data depicts the Fire Managment Units (FMUs) within Yellowstone National Park (YNP). FMUs are delineated based on physical features such as geology, natural barriers, fuel types, or land use patterns and are characterized by an appropriate management response plan. This dataset was created by the Spatial Analysis Center with the guidance of the Yellowstone Fire Cache (specifically, Phil Perkins). The original designated units have been modified to exclude water body areas.
