Report on the preliminary engineering investigation, Travertine Springs water supply system, Furnace Creek area, Death Valley National Monument

Ace Pacific Co. 1991. Report on the preliminary engineering investigation, Travertine Springs water supply system, Furnace Creek area, Death Valley National Monument

This report discusses the water collection system at Travertine Springs in Death Valley National Park. The company was called to develop additional springs, but found that the project was limited because an indigenous snail inhabiting the area may be federally protected. The report describes several alternative measures. It also notes an important public health issue in an open concrete channel subject to contamination, and consequently recommends improvement of the existing Travertine Springs water collection system.
