Filtered LIDAR DEM for Yosemite Valley

National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping. 2006. Filtered LIDAR DEM for Yosemite Valley. NCALM

Bare earth digital elevation model derived from Lidar data for Yosemite Valley. A digital elevation model (DEM) of the Yosemite Valley area of Yosemite National Park derived from LIDAR that was flown September 18-26, 2006. All above ground features such as vegetation, buildings, and constructed infrastructure have been removed through processing algorithms to produce a bare earth model. Data processing conducted by NCALM using TerraScan and SURFER. Dataset updated in February 2008 using data collected in 2007 for the half dome area to fix the hole in the original dataset. The new half dome unfiltered DEM and the original Yosemite Valley DEM from 2006 were mosaiced together with ArcGIS 9.2. Updated by Bill Kuhn
