The NPS Water Rights Branch installed the Montezuma Well gaging station in February 2005 to monitor pool levels in the Well. The Well is a 300 foot wide limnocrene (pooled spring) at Montezuma Castle National Monument in Yavapai County, Arizona. The accuracy of the Station equipment and data is good. The NPS Water Rights Branch discontinued data collection on the Well as of October 2009. The Park will continue to record instantaneous daily pool levels.
