The study produced information from the analysis of reproductive tracts, field observations, and back-dating ages. 162 animals were collected. Male:female sex ratio was 52:48. All hogs attained puberty in their first year. Farrowing reached a peak in late fall-early winter, and late spring-early summer, and occurred once a year. Litter size averaged 3.2, ranging from 1 to 5. A discussion of management implications and recommendations closes the paper.
