Resource management plan: Fort Bowie National Historic Site

1993. Resource management plan: Fort Bowie National Historic Site

"The Resource Management Plan identifies resource issues and proposes strategies to deal with them. These strategies often include a mix of research, monitoring, and mitigation projects. It replaces the previously approved Natural and Cultural Resource Management Plan (1986)...While preservation of the historic ruins in a state of abandonment was the impetus to create the historic site, the importance of the natural setting and archeology is recognized as an integral part of the management of the unit...The plan guides the resource management program at Fort Bowie National Historic Site in accordance with management objectives."
