Resource Management Plan, Saratoga National Historical Park
Schaberl JP and Okey SP. 1992. Resource Management Plan, Saratoga National Historical Park
The Resource Management Plan for Saratoga National Historical Park describes the resources preserved within the Park as well as active or potential activities for managing those resources. Research initiatives, baseline studies, and manipulative and protective techniques are integrated into a comprehensive resources management program. The preservation of the Park's cultural resources and the cultural landscape are the two primary resource management objectives. The natural resource management objectives are directed to biodiversity, restoration of mature forests, and the conservation of plant and wildlife populations. Where manipulation is required to fulfill cultural resource objectives, natural resource objectives may become ancillary. Contents include: I. Introduction. II. Present Resource Status. A.
