Response to Scheffer

Anunsen CS. 1993. Response to Scheffer. Conservation Biology. 7(4):954-957

Discussion by Fund for Animals from their point of view that the mountain goat (Oreamnos americanus) was historically found in the Olympic Mountains, WA. They have challenged Olympic National Park's stance that goats were introduced in the 1920's, have caused considerable damage in the alpine areas of the park, and should be considered an exotic species and treated accordingly.
